Professional Finance Experience

For more than 25 years, Dan has built a career as a community banker, helping families, small businesses, and local organizations make sound financial decisions, grow responsibly, and plan for the future. His professional life has been grounded in fiscal responsibility, accountability, and long-term thinking—values he brings to public service.

Municipal Government Experience

Dan understands city government from the inside. He previously served two terms as a city councilman in a small East Texas community, where he worked collaboratively to balance budgets, support economic development, and address the everyday concerns of residents. That experience gave him firsthand knowledge of how local government decisions directly impact neighborhoods, businesses, and quality of life.

Community & Coastal Life Experience

After 20+ years in East Texas, Dan made the move to Corpus Christi in 2019 to enjoy the coastal life, and since that time, has fully invested and immersed himself into our community. He lives, works, plays, and volunteers here, building strong relationships across District 4 and throughout the Coastal Bend.

Personal Life: All the Love, Family and Fun

Dan and his wife Lori have been married for more than 27 years. They have three adult children, two grandchildren, and two spoiled dogs. They are proud to be a family rooted in service, with both their son and grandson currently serving in the Armed forces: their son in the United States Coast Guard, and their grandson in the U.S. Army.

In his free time, Dan enjoys sailing, fishing, volunteering, and performing live with his guitar around the community—activities that reflect his love for Corpus Christi’s coastal lifestyle and close-knit neighborhoods.
